Show Report Shows How Assessments Were Made On Lands Out of the 14,781.10 acres of Uintah-Ouray reservation lands patented during 1950, Duchesne county taxpayers were assessed with the following acres on the 1951 tax rolls: Folke A. and Katherine H. Myrin, Arcadia, 8,564.11 acres; William Fieldsted, Boneta, 571.-16 571.-16 acres; Earn N. Wright, Utahn, 40 acres; Ray D. Broadhead, Utahn, 110 acres; Clarence C. Wright, Utahn, 40 acres; Ray Thomas,, Utahn, 40 acres. Thomas M. Gilbert, Arcadia, 4,335.83 acres; John F. Ross, Arcadia, 840 acres; Darrell E Lambert, Roosevelt, 40 acres; Ilo A. Christensen, Tabiona, 40 acres; Bert T. Coleman, Heber City, 160 acres. Patenting these lands was a step in the blocking program of Ute Indian lands in the Uintah Basin. |
