Show Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson will leave Friday for Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif., where they will spend the next six weeks while Mr. Johnson takes a post-graduate course at U.C.L.A. Mr. and Mrs. Gay Ginn, of Albuquerque, N. M., visited Monday with friends in Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Mr. Ginn managed McLea's store during their residence in Roosevelt. They have been in Albuquerque about two years. Guests Friday at the John Gale residence were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Turner, of Royal, Utah; Mrs. John D. Gale, Helper, and Marilyn Gardner, of Helper, Gary Turner, who has spent the past few weeks with the Gales returned to Royal with his parents. par-ents. Miss Mirlynn S c h u 1 1 z, of Ephraim, is visiting her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mortensen. JeNeal Pack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pack, left Friday lot a 2-week visit with relatives and friends in Tremonton, Logan Lo-gan and Montpelier, Idaho. Yvonne Fretwell returned Thursday evening after spending three days in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richman and daughter, Helene, of Provo, are guests at the home of Alma's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richman, and family. The group enjoyed the week-end in Uinta canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Labrum and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Oldroyd Old-royd enjoyed a steak-fry in Uinta canyon Sunday afternoon. Tommy Timothy, employed in Salt Lake City, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Timothy, Tim-othy, and family. Cpl. Bill Norman, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Norman, Nor-man, returned home June 14, after spending 3 years with the Army Air Force stationed in Japan and Korea. After a month's furlough at home, he will be stationed at Lowrey Field, near Denver, for at least a year. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Rich-man' Rich-man' nee Dorothy Beeler, former form-er Roosevelt residents, were transferred recently from Salt Lake City to Butte, Montana. Weldon is employed as bookkeeper book-keeper and office manager for the B. F. Goodrich Co. Mr. and Mrs. Willard A. Day, of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wiscombe, of Provo, all former Roosevelt residents, were here Wednesday to attend funeral services for Clair Labrum. La-brum. Karen Oldroyd, of Springville, has been visiting during the past week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan, and twins. Mrs. AlDean Washburn and small son, Burke, of Provo, and Howard Broderick, of Mt. Pleasant, visited over the weekend week-end with their mother. Mrs. Crystal Broderick. They returned return-ed to their homes Monday, accompanied ac-companied by Lee R. Broderick, who returned recently from a mission to Finland. Arvin Labrum, Stephen El-dredge, El-dredge, Dale Larsen and Ray Roberts returned Tuesday from a 3-week Navy Reserve training school at San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith returned re-turned this week from a honeymoon honey-moon trip through Yellowstone National park. The young couple will make a home in Roosevelt. Donna Christensen visited in Ogden over the week-end with her mother. Mrs. Robert Weber and small daughter, Susan, of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif., left Tuesday for her home after spending two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Murel Benson, and family. She was accompanied as far as Salt Lake City by Mrs. Benson and Mrs. Reid Hullinger. Mrs. Weber, We-ber, the former Donna Benson, returned to San Francisco by plane. Mrs. Paul Stringham and son, Chuck, will motor to Salt Lake City Friday to meet her parents and sister, who are vacationing in Yellowstone National Park, They will visit here before returning re-turning to their home in Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Durell Fred-rickson Fred-rickson left Sunday to take their daughter, Mrs. Ina Thompson Thomp-son to Riverton, Wyo.. where she will join her husband, who is employed there by the Sun Oil company. Enroute to River-ton, River-ton, the Fredricksons and Mrs. Thompson attended funeral services ser-vices in Ogden for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Howell, How-ell, former Roosevelt residents. A Monday visitor at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Stringham this week was Dr. Gill Ryder, of Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillman, the Baptist convention being-tensen, being-tensen, left Monday to attend the Biptist convention being held in San Francisco, Cal. Mr. and Mrs.. Norman Murphy Mur-phy returned last week from a vacation trip to California. Vacationing in southern California Cal-ifornia for ten days are Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hall and Robert Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pectol, of Blue Lake, Calif., arrived last Saturday to visit with Mrs. Pectol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Prescott. They were accompanied ac-companied by their children, Carol and Brent, and plan to stay a month. Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Wingo (Bud and Berniece), of Bishop, Calif., and children, Susan and Garth, are here visiting Mrs. Wingo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Harrison. A houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ashby is Mrs. Glade Anderson, An-derson, of Vernal. Sunday visitors vis-itors were Mrs. Ashby's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Horrocks. Returning last Sunday from Salt Lake City with Mrs. Randall Ran-dall Stewart were her sister, Mrs. Dan Aldridge, of Shelly, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Davis, of Salt Lake City; and her father, Jesse Carter, of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Aldridge will spend a week here. The others left Tuesday. Michael Stewart accompanied relatives from Salt Lake City on a three-week eastern trip. Elmer Eldredge and sons, Gordon Gor-don and Burke, and Kenny Nickell spent last Saturday and Sunday at their cabin in Uinta canyon. It received a regular spring cleaning and painting. The Gordon Harmstons enjoyed en-joyed the forepart of the week at the Harmston cabin in Uinta canyon. Jay Boshard, nephew of Mrs. Bob Huish, visited at the Huish home from Monday to Wednesday Wednes-day this week. Jay, who is serving serv-ing with the U. S. Navy, has recently re-cently returned from Korea. He has gone to San Diego, where he will be assigned to another , ship. |
