Show This Week's RECIPE . . . The following recipe for strawberry jam' is very simple to make, with the jam of wonderful won-derful consistency. It maintains its bright red color and does not require any pectin. It is neither too thin nor too thick. Slrawberry Jam 2 cups strawberries (berry cups) 5 cups sugar Vi cup lemon juice Wash berries and slice largest if desired. Add sugar and lemon juice. Bring to full rolling boil and boil 8 to 10 minutes. Set off stove and skim. Let stand oyer night in bwl, covered with clean cloth. Stir occasionally. Bottle cold and seal, Make in single recipes. |
