Show A Ward Benefit Dinner & Floor Show Will Entertain Ward Tomorrow night, Friday, the Roosevelt ward is being host to its membership and friends at a dinner and floor show, which promises to be an outstanding social attraction. Heading a tal- ented list of dancers, singers and musicians are Dee and Lynn Winterton from Kamas, who have attracted wide attention and acclaim for their fine talents. tal-ents. According to Bishop R. Vernon Ver-non Larson, the dinner will be served between the hours of 6 and 7:30 p. m. and the floor show will get under way at 8:30 p. m. An active promotion campaign has been carried on by the priesthood quorums and groups of the ward and a large attendance is anticipated. Mrs. Bruce Smith, president of the Relief Society, is directing the preparing and serving of the meal, and Mr. and Mrs. Omni Winterton are in charge of the floor show. Assisting the Winterton brothers, broth-ers, one of which is only eight years old, are several prominent stars of stage and television from Salt Lake City and Kamas. Miss Barbara Jean Foot, who recently won the television sweepstakes contest in Salt Lake City with her acrobatic dancing, along with Miss Marilyn Powers, Pow-ers, a Salt Lake dance instructor, instruc-tor, Miss Sharon Frank and the Winterton brothers complete the list of dance performers. This group will be featured in solo dances as well as in dance teams. Vocalists on the program will be Miss Mona Lu Walker, -of Kamas, and Eldon Winterton, Roosevelt. Dot Simmons will team up with eight-year-old Dee Winterton to present accordian music. The public is invited to participate parti-cipate in the program, which is being sponsored to help the ward officials meet their current cur-rent obligations. |
