Show Primary Has Party For Dads The Primary entertained the fathers of the ward on Sunday with a very interesting program, under the direction of the president, presi-dent, Mrs. Lecta Horrocks. and her counselors. The program consisted of a poem by Myron Duncan, a song by groups 1 and 2; a dialogue by Elaine and David Duncan; song, by Zion 1 and 2: poem, Ruel Henrie; song, Trekkers; song. Home Builders; remarks by W. K. Dye, Tal Wardle Richard Rich-ard Olsen and Alden White, of the high council; closing song, "There Are So Many Fathers," by the entire Primary; benediction, benedic-tion, Judy Bastian. Franklin Spencer and Reed Taylor are home from two weeks of schooling in San Diego, Di-ego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Devier Spencer, of Kaysville, were in Neola for a few days last week. Mrs. Delia Spencer, Devier's mother, returned re-turned with them for a visit. Phyllis Eksund spent a few days in Whiterocks with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hoopes. Arlene and Jeanett Jenkins, small daughters of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Jenkins, of Roosevelt, spent the past week with Ar-vella Ar-vella and Bonnie Eksund. Mrs. Francis Crozier is staying stay-ing at Farm Creek at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith, while they are vacationing in California. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Mills have just returned from a two-week's vacation in California, Washington Washing-ton and Oregon. A wedding reception and dance was given Friday night in honor of the newly married couple. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Nick-ell, Nick-ell, nee Miss Stella Malnar. Mrs. Cleon Allred and Mrs. ,Mary Gardner, of Salt Lake, were here for the Malnar-Nick-'ell wedding. The Mia-Maids and Junior Gleaners, their teachers, and President Marjorie Harrison, enjoyed en-joyed a weiner and marshmal-lowroast marshmal-lowroast at the power plant Friday Fri-day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Erv Wilson and family, of Whiterocks. spent Father's Day with Mr. and Mrs. Dace Mitchell. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday night were Alden White and Ralph Shields. Musical Mus-ical numbers were a duet, "Nay Speak No 111," by Fern Ober-hansly Ober-hansly and Marvel Malnar; an accordian solo by Lila Horrocks; a piano solo', by Alene Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Rhe Peterson and family, from Salt Lake, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Peterson. |
