Show Cuts Face On Barbed Wire Fence Val Dean, the young son of Mran? Mrs. Squire Mangum cut his face in two places when he ran into a barbed wire fence fast weekend. Mr. and Mrs Charles . M Pool and two daughters, of Salt Lake City, spent several days during pheasant season at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Kettle. Ballard ward was very well represented at the Roosevelt Second ward play, given two nights last week in Roosevelt. It was a very good play. Mar Ross accompanied Mr. Hunt and son, of Montwel, on an airplane trip to' Arizona and back last week. The second P-TA meeting was held at Alterra on Thursday Thurs-day night, but there was not a very large crowd. The parents from Ft Duchesne were hosts. Mr and Mrs. Mont S. Poulson and daughter, Joan, weTe visitors visi-tors with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler Shis-ler on Saturday, and also at the Russel Todd home. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Broderick and two children, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. David Lundberg attended the banquet held at Hotel Vernal on Wednesday evening eve-ning Nov. 4th. for all 4-H Club leaders and their partners. Ernest Drury and son, Clarence, Clar-ence, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Drury, of Salt Lake City, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Betts during pheasant pheas-ant season. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Cook, of Vernal, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Calvert, of Salt Lake City, have been visitors vis-itors at the home of Mrs. Calvert's Cal-vert's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shisler. Their son, Morgan, was also out with a group of pheasant hunters. Mrs. Calvin Squire is enjoying enjoy-ing a trip and visit in and around Salt Lake City, and also at Scipio. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Guber and family, of Salt Lake City, visited visit-ed over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines. Mrs. Guber I is a sister of Mrs. Gines. Ole Rasmussen returned from Salt Lake City, on Saturday. Eleven of the officers and teachers of Sunday School attended at-tended stake Sunday School convention con-vention at Roosevelt, Sunday af ternoon. ' Mr and Mrs. Glass and family fam-ily moved recently from Jensen and are living in the basement of the A. W. Seeley home. Their children started school at Alterra Al-terra last week. |
