Show LeetoflvBeiitiett Mrs. Fern Houston Crowned King In Baby Contest At the show, "On Stage America," held in Roosevelt Saturday Sat-urday night, Dennis V. Hall, son of Darrell and Glenda Hall, was chosen King for the evening. The small son of Darrell is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hall and of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson. He was sponsored by Bill Nelson. His parents live in Salt. Lake City and were here for the pheasant hunt. People from here who attended at-tended and enjoyed the very fine talent show at Vernal, "On Stage Arwerica," which was sponsored by the American Legion, Leg-ion, say there was some extra fine display of talent. Mary Margret Horrocks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks, won 2nd place in the contest and was awarded a $15.00 cash prize. Mr. and Mrs. Cloy Allred, of Salt Lake City, visited with her sister, Mrs. Otis Horrocks, while the men enjoyed pheasant hunting, hunt-ing, Saturday. Mrs. Dell Timothy was operated oper-ated on at the Holy Cross Hospital, Hos-pital, Oct. 28, and is home recuperating re-cuperating at present. Their 3 children, Kendell, Merlin and Marcelene were here pheasant hunting over the weekend. Mrs. Ernie Weichman. daughter daugh-ter of Dell Timothy, was in an automobile accident while returning re-turning from her grandfather, Al Rasmussen's funeral. She received re-ceived serious head wounds and a lacerated knee. Garr Bolton was operated on in Tremonton two weeks ago and had expected to be home this week, but was unable to return. His condition is improving. improv-ing. The family of Russell Griggs, of Salt Lake City, are here visiting vis-iting with the John Bolton family fam-ily and hunting pheasants. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Williams and Lynn Pack visited at the home of Delbert Horrocks, Saturday. Sat-urday. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Locks, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Golda Lee, of Heber, former residents of this area, were here calling on friends and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks, Hor-rocks, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bolton Bol-ton and the Clair Haslems from Tuesday until Saturday. Mrs. Betty Bolton has been ill this week. Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Litster are here visiting with his grandparents, grand-parents, Johnny hall, and with Carl and Louie Hall. Mrs. Keith Bowen gave a birthday dinner in honor of her husband's birthday annoversary, which was Wednesday. Mr. and -Mrs. W. H. Coltharp, Mr and Mrs. Ned Coltharp, Dick Coltharp, and Mrs. George Houston attended the Catholic annual Bazaar at the Roosevelt Legion Hall. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp attended the Knife and Fork Club at Vernal, Saturday night. Mrs. Floyd Harmston helped at the Frontier Grill during the pheasant season. One of the lovely prizes given Saturday at the Myton Legion dance, was a shotgun and the lucky number was held by Dick Coltharp. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindley and two sons, of Provo, visited at the J. A. Houston home. A dinner din-ner was given Saturday and 14 enjoyed the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long, of Duchesne, were guests at the home of Winfred Long for a day of visiting and some pheasant pheas-ant hunting. Mrs. Ned Coltharp entertained enter-tained at a turkey dinner Sunday Sun-day for Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp and Mrs. Ann Coltharp. Col-tharp. Mrs. Blaine Morrill spent the day at the Winfred Long home, Thursday. Mrs. Mary Hamaker, of Tooele, Too-ele, and Mrs. Verna WefTier. of Dugway, spent the week here on business and pleasure, at the home of Marvin Hamaker. Mar-jvin's Mar-jvin's brother, Weston, and fam- ily, of Price, were visiting here the first of the week. Mrs. Nellie Whitlock's home was a haven for many pheasant hunters during the three day season for Bill White, of Craig, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Art Florence, Flor-ence, of Morgan; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Calder, of Salt Lake City; Douglas Gleason, of Price; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Knoble and son, John, of Salt Lake City, and Carl Noel, of Denver, Colo. |
