Kenneth, who attended at-tended the USAC for three years, enlisted in the Marines i Reserve in April, 1942, and was called into the" service in July, 1943. Eugene Harmston returned home Monday from Vernal, where he was operated on last week. Now that Roosevelt City is without doubt, the center of one of the best potato growing sections sec-tions of the state, President Floyd Roberts, of the Roosevelt Lions club, feels that it pays to advertise, and in order to' start the ball rolling he has posted for the club, a $5.00 prize for the largest and most perfect potato brought into the new Roosevelt Products Dehydration Dehy-dration plant. Henry Morgenthau, Jr., governor gov-ernor of the Farm Credit Administration, Ad-ministration, has just issued an order to the Salt Lake Regional office of the crop production loan division authorizing that office to receive and consider applications for loans to farmers farm-ers living in the drouth stricken strick-en sections of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. These loans will be made to individual small farm operators, who are unable to finance the feeding of their farm livestock through any ! other . financial source. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford McConkle had the misfortune to have a very painful accident the past week. While running she fell and hit her chin with so much force as to render her unconscious. Medical Med-ical aid was summoned and she is resting quietly at home and is somewhat improved. |
