Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Two Boys Graduate From Primary Two Guide Patrol boys graduated grad-uated from Primary Sunday in Sacrament meeting. They were Larry Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. James O. Larsen; and Leon Ross, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Ross. Leon gave the story of Aaron and Larry gave the Articles Ar-ticles of Faith. T. R. Cope, of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Celia Richens, of Myton, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields on Monday. Mon-day. Mr. Cope made his home here for many years. He is now in the genealogy work. Mr. and Mrs. Mathis Ivie, Joan and Harry, of Sacramento, Calif., visited Sunday and Monday Mon-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marv Bell. Mrs. Ivie is Mr. Bell's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan and children, of Neola, visited Monday at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mrs. Golda Jensen, Mrs. Nona Holgate, Mrs. Ora Holgate and Mrs. Elsie Bird attended the cake decorating demonstration "at Roosevelt, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gilbert and son, of Roosevelt, visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Gilbert. Mr. and Mrs. Loril Carpenter and daughter, Nanette, of Salt Lake, visited over the week- end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. The occasion occa-sion was Mr. Carpenter's birthday. birth-day. Marvel Moore and Kermet Poulson, stake high councilmen of Duchesne, were visitors at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate went to Salt Lake Saturday. Ronald and Gary Calvin returned re-turned home with the Holgates after spending some time at the holme of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross attended at-tended the funeral services, on Monday, for Mrs. Eva Harper Nick. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hor-rocks Hor-rocks took their son, Evan, to Vernal, Saturday, for a medical medi-cal oheck-up. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross during the week were Mrs. Cynthia Mas-sey, Mas-sey, Mrs. Bud Odle and Mrs. Mary Garvell, of Vernal, and Mrs. W. J. Jackson, of Beckley, West Virginia. Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Ross were school friends and haven't seen each other for years. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ross and children, of Roosevelt, also visited Sunday at the Ross home. Karen Ross is spending a few days with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bird are enjoying a visit with their grandchildren from Neola, Clar-ine, Clar-ine, Douglas and Bradley Duncan. Dun-can. 52nd ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shields attended their 52nd wedding anniversary an-niversary dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields at Roosevelt, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Judd and Mrs. Nett Anderson, of Grants-ville, Grants-ville, visited at the homes- of Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate. SUNDAY DINNER Mr. and Mrs. Milt Larsen entertained en-tertained at a dinner Sunday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Judd, Mrs. Nett Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans, Pauline and Gail Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen attended the Ram sale at Ogden Wednesday and Thursday. A crowd from here attended the baseball games at Roosevelt and Vernal Wednesday and Thursday nights. Mrs. Melvin Bird and family were dinner guests at Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bird's Sunday. |
