Show Imm post ( BASIN POST NO. 64 BY BILL MURDOCK Last meeting on Thursday, Aug. 19, was held on the soft-ball soft-ball field. The Post was disappointed dis-appointed in having Lee Kayj postpone his wildlife film night until the first part of Sept. i Post 64 Boy Scout troop, under un-der the leadership of Gordon Harmston, are on a week's outing out-ing at Maple Dell. The encampment encamp-ment promises a big time for the boys. Boys attending are: Gordie Harmston, Danny Lar-sen, Lar-sen, Freddie Williams, Mike Finch, Dennis Yack and Norman Birchell. Dee Felter and Danny Kold are on the cripple list, with broken legs, and couldn't go. We are very sorry these boys couldn't go, and hope they can make the next one. National Convention delegates dele-gates going to' Washington are: Calvin Monks, district commander; comman-der; Tina Wilkins, district president; pres-ident; Jack Harmston, assistant national sergeant-at-arms; Ter-essa Ter-essa Harmston, unit president; William Sutteer, post department depart-ment commander and W. S. "Bill" Murdock, department vice-commander. The group is looking forward to a very constructive con-structive convention and having hav-ing President Eisenhower and the president of Germany speak to the opening session. We wish Lou Haddock, who' is going back to the Vets hospital hos-pital the first of next week, all the luck (and hurry home, Lou). |
