Show 4-H Clubs Set Aug. 27th For Community Fair Something new in 4-H Club work is being introduced this year, when a Community Fair for all 4-H exhibits will be held Friday, August 27, in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt stake recreation hall, according ac-cording to Nadene Ottosen, chairman. Mildred Anderson will be in charge of te foods and Miss Re-nae Re-nae Eldredge the clothing. Schedule will be as follows: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., exhibits received; re-ceived; 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., exhibits judged; 1:00 to 4:30 p.m., open to public; 2:00 p.m. dress revue and demonstrations. The public is cordially invited invit-ed to attend the Community Fair and witness the accomplishments accom-plishments of the 4-H Clubs. Myton ward who participated in the Temple excursion, to Salt Lake City, Thursday. , Mrs. Lynn Jensen left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Lake Park, Calif, to visit her sister, Mrs. Glenn Sheldon. Guests at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk, Sr. last week were Mrs. John Kos-ack, Kos-ack, Miss Mary Boffle and Mrs. J. Boffle, of Helper, and Miss Effie Persia, of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark are enjoying a visit from their son, Jesse D. Clark, who is home on leave from the U. S. Navy. He recently returned from France where the tanker on which he is serving has been on duty. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Payne came from Provo to spend the weekend with Mrs. Payne's sister, sis-ter, Sarah Bywater. Mrs. Lyman Parrish and daughter, DeAnna, who have been visiting in Long Beach, California, returned home Friday. Fri-day. They were met in Salt Lake City by Mr. and Mrs. Leon Parrish of Rangely, Colorado and Miss Luella Evans of Jensen, Jen-sen, who brought them home. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Walker and daughter of Salt Lake City were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish and also at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart. Mrs. Andrew Tolboe who has been residing in Inglewood, California, Cal-ifornia, during the past months returnde to Myton Sunday and is visiting her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tol- boe. She reports that her grandson, grand-son, Merrell Wood, recently enlisted en-listed in the Navy. Merrell made his home here until about two years ago. His many friends will be interested in his new venture. Visitors last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Harris were Mr. Harris' uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Gibson Gib-son of Grand Junction. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frand-sen Frand-sen left Sunday for Salt Lake City where they will reside during the coming months. Mr. Frandsen will be employed in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bingham Bing-ham and family came from Hiawatha Sunday to attend the celebration of Mrs. Bingham's mother's 82nd birthday anniversary anniver-sary and to visit relatives and friends. |
