Show Congressman To Speak In County The Uintah Basin will have its first visit from a congressional congres-sional candidate on Sept. 8, is an announcement made this week by Kenneth Aycock, Duchesne Du-chesne County Republican Central Cen-tral Committee chairman, who announced yesterday that Cong. Douglas Stringfellow was planning plan-ning a trip to Duchesne county. According to Mr. Aycock, the tentative itinery of the congressman, congress-man, who is the GOP candidate for the congressional post, First District, calls for a meeting at Altamont at 11 a.m. At 2:30 p.m. he will address a park meeting in Duchesne, and is scheduled to be in Roosevelt in the evening for an 8 o'clock meeting. Place will be announced announ-ced next week by Mr. Aycock. Mr. Stringfellow will be opposed op-posed by the man he replaced in the congress in 1953, Walter K. Granger, (D), Cedar City, who was a candidate two years ago for the senate, being defeated de-feated by Sen. Arthur V. Wat-kins. |
