Show School Leader Hamed On Dook Committee Dean C. Christensen, county school superintendent, has been elected to serve on the Utah State Music Textbook Selection committee. This committee, composed com-posed of six representatives from various areas of the state, includes in-cludes music teachers, elementary elemen-tary supervisors, and Mr. Christensen, Chris-tensen, who is the only district school superintendent chosen as a committee member. This group reviews the music textbooks available and takes copies of some of the book to ' try out in the various districts. The recommendations of members mem-bers are made to the State Board of Education, and serve as a guide for schools, teachers, principals, and administrative officers, of-ficers, in making textbook selections. se-lections. State committees are named for textbooks to be used in teaching every subject offered to school students, such as English, En-glish, Literature, Arithmetic, Geography, Ge-ography, Civics, etc. In executing his duties as a committee member, Supt. Christensen Chris-tensen has attended two meetings meet-ings of the Music Textbook Selection Se-lection committee in Salt Lake City one in February and one on March 10. |
