Show ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL What's the "good word?" 'Roosevelt has gone to state! It has been a long, hard climb from the bottom to the top, but here we are. Do your best now boys, as you have done for the past season of league basketball. We are all behind you. The state tournaments occupy the first place in the thoughts of every student. Many students will see them and the rest of us are hoping for a good showing. There is no dance, assembly, or other attraction (except basketball, bas-ketball, of course) scheduled for this week-end. Monday a few atom bombs were exploded (or a reasonable facsimile). This Lyceum number num-ber proved very educational and showed that science can be funny. It was enjoyed by all who are interested in "Our Atomic Age." It is nearly time for report cards, and tests are not uncommon. uncom-mon. The high school opera, "Mar-itana." "Mar-itana." staged Tuesday night was beautifully done. Mr. Wat-kins Wat-kins and the cast deserve much praise. Retold Stories Alisa Adams and Donna Rae Hall. Humorous readings Gary Gardner and Kenneth Long. Dramatic Readings . Joleen Swain and Shirley Murdock. Oration Douglas Phillips and Lorna Fearle. These students will leave for Price Tuesday evening, under the direction of Mrs. Ellen Rawl-ings, Rawl-ings, speech instructor. |
