Show TUESDAY BRIDGE An evening of cards and entertainment en-tertainment were in order at the home of Mrs. Myrtle Lambert Lam-bert Tuesday evening, March, 13 when Mrs. Lambert was hostess to members and guests j of her bridge club. JUST-A-MERE CLUB HONORS TOM WHITES Mr. and Mrs. Tom White, who will leave in the immediate future fu-ture to make their home in Tremonton, were honored guests at a party held Tuesday evening at the Frontier Grill by members mem-bers of Mrs. White's bridge club. Following a tasty dessert luncheon, tables were arranged for bridge. Mr. and Mrs. White were presented with a beautiful lace table cloth. NEIGHBORHOOD SEWING Adding her name to this week's list of hostesses was Mrs. Don Crittendon, who entertained en-tertained members of Neighborhood Neighbor-hood Sewing club at her home Wednesday evening, March 7. Sewing and a tempting dessert luncheon formed the diversion for Mrs. LaRue Laris, Mrs. Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Robert Hall, Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Guy Burton, Mrs. Llewelyn Jenkins, Jen-kins, Mrs. George Hacking, Mrs Parley Rawlings and Mrs. Arus Bird. D.U.P. MEETING The Roosevelt Camp, Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers meeting will be held Friday, March 23, at 3 p. m. at the home of Mrs. Lillian Carlson. Mrs. Olive Harrison, secretary, secre-tary, states that important business busi-ness will be discussed, and. therefore, urges all members to be present- LARUE LIDDELL REVEALS APRIL NUPTIAL DATE Socially interesting to Roosevelt Roos-evelt residents is the announcement announce-ment of the engagement and forthcoming marriage of two well-known Roosevelt high school students, Miss LaRue Lid-dell, Lid-dell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Liddell, and Cpl. Phil !W. Neilson, son of Mr. and Mis. Albeit P. Neilson. The couple will exchange wedding promises in a ceremony cere-mony to be solemnized April 10 at Fort Worth, Texas, where Cpl. Nelson is stationed with the Army Air Force as a tela-typist. tela-typist. Miss Liddell is a junior student stu-dent at Roosevelt high school. . Mr. Neilson, who also attended attend-ed Roosevelt high, graduated in 1950 from the United States Air Force Institute. Miss Liddell will be honored at a shower on March 22 at the home of her parents. HONORED ON BIRTHDAY Mrs. Daren Young entertained at a party Saturday evening honoring Mr. Young on his birthday anniversary. A gay evening of jig-saw puzzles puz-zles and other games were enjoyed, en-joyed, after which a delectable dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Carter, Mr. and Mrs Arvid Fredrickson, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Peterson and Mrs. Reed Hancock. A beautiful orange and green birthday cake formed the table decoration. LEGION AUXILIARY President Mary Burgess pre-' sided at the regular business meeting held at the home of Mrs. Norma Bellon Tuesday evening, eve-ning, March 13. Plans were made for the prizes priz-es to be awarded in the Americanism Ameri-canism essay and poppy poster contests and Auxiliary members signed a pledge, sent to them by President Truman, stating that members of this Auxiliary unit will not buy any black market products.
