Show LDS Stake Rose Prom Held Saturday Night The annual Rose Prom for Mia-Maids and Explorers was staged last Saturday night at the Roosevelt stake house by the Roosevelt LDS stake MIA, with the theme "Roses of Pic-cardy," Pic-cardy," significantly portrayed in decorations and the floor show. The stage setting for the formal form-al affair revealed a picket fence attractive with roses, while bouquets bou-quets of roses adorned the hall and refreshment room. Floor show dances were demonstrated by the Ioka, Gusher and Roosevelt Roos-evelt wards, with the Bennett ward singing "My Wild Irish Rose," and the Roosevelt Second Sec-ond ward singing the theme song, "Roses of Piccardy." Tal Wardle's orchestra furnished furn-ished the music for the very succesful event. The prom was under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Millie Stevens, stake Mia-Maid leader, and Robert Rob-ert Andrews, stake Y.M.M.I A. superintendent. Assisting with arrangements and decorations were Mrs. eJan Ivory, Mrs. Ellen El-len Rawlings, Mrs. Elva Stewart Stew-art and Mrs. Blanche Murphy. |
