Show )jlt CfflincnJ Gayle Case Seventh Grade Presents Operetta The 7th grade presented an operetta, "The Magic Beanstalk," Bean-stalk," Thursday evening at the high school gym. Principal singing roles were played by Forrest Evans, as Jack; Jack Brotherson, as the Giant: and Lila Oman, as Jack's mother. The production was directed by Mrs. Edythe Hansen. Sherral Ames was the Accompanist. Mrs. Opal Gomm and her art class painted appropriate scenery. Each year Mrs. Hansen produces pro-duces and directs an operetta with the students of the 7th grade and one with the 8th grade students. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Bennion and Mrs. L. W. Rust returned during the week from a trip to Malad, Idaho, where they visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones and children. Mrs. Jones ' is the former Mabel Rust. The Bennions and Mrs. Rust also visited relatives in Salt Lake. Doyle Swallow, instructor at Altamont, spent the week-end in Provo. Lois Sadler and Mau-rine Mau-rine Miles accompanied him to visit with their sisters. Wanda Sadler and Donna Miles, respectively, re-spectively, who are attending the B.Y.U. Lois spent some time in Payson with her aunt, Mrs. R. E. Mower. Altamont teachers taking the extension class under Professor O'Dean Hess, of the University of Utah, went to Duchesne Saturday Sat-urday for their final session. Those enrolled in this class in elementary education are Mrs. Eliza Olsen, Mrs. Opal Gomm, Mrs. Mary C. Snyder. Miss Af-ton Af-ton Smithson and Farrell Mohl-man. |
