Show VARIETY CLUB MEETS The Mt. Emmons Variety Club accepted an invitation to meet in the home of Zola Hanberg in Roosevelt, and Thursday, Feb. 9 they traveled to her home in two Station wagons for an evening of interest and enjoyment. Mrs. Homer Hom-er P. Edwards was the guest speaker and presented slides on her tour of Europe. Mrs. Edwards was introduced to the group by Mrs. Edna Hartman, president of the club, who also conducted the business part of the meeting. Enjoying the presentation were: Rhea Lambert, Alma Young, June Harmon Dee Orr, Colleen Nielson, Diane Hullinger, LeCma Swallow, Florence Mohlman, Edna Hartman, Dorothy Farnsworth, Nadian Barrett, Bar-rett, Louise Bearden, Rita Hansen, Anna Hartman and Margaret Timothy. Tim-othy. Cherry pie and ice cream were served at the close of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. James- B. Lemon returned to their home in Ioka Wednesday after a two weeks visit vis-it at the Max Hartman home. Mr. and Mrs. Fl'oid C, Hartman came from SpringviLle, Sunday to visit with relatives and attend to business. Mr. Hartman has employment em-ployment at Spanish Fork. Chester Hartman visited during the past week at the Wm. H. Case home in Duchesne. Mrs. Marguerite - Young, with her son, Edward, his wife and young son, Kelly, stayed overnight at the Bernard Dastrup home. Mrs, Marguerite Young, a sister of Mrs. Ruth Dastrup, and her family are from Clearfield. Mrs. Stella Bodily of Salt Lake, a sister of Mrs. Ilene McConkie, visited Tuesday at the Lyrad McConkie Mc-Conkie home. Ilene's mother, Mrs. Pearl' Jenkins of Roosevelt, also spent the day here visiting with her daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Merriner McMul-len McMul-len and family from Randlett visited vis-ited at the Lyrad McConkie home in Altamont Saturday. Y. I. Witherspoon, and architect archi-tect Mr, Shelly from the University Univer-sity of Utah, were here over the weekend taking care of problems relatives to the Indian Rehabilitation Rehabilita-tion program. Working with them were agents, Max Hartman of Altamont, Al-tamont, and Darrell Goodrich of Lapoint. |
