Show Eighteen-Year Old Navajo At Galloway Home Another Indian boy has been taken into a Roosevelt LDS home. Ray Robert Mitchell, 18, arrived September 14 and is residing with Mr. and Mrs. Louie Galloway. Ray is a Navajo and his home is in Kayenta, Arizona. He has been an interpreter in the LDS mission field in that area, has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for five years and holds the office of a priest. He is a sophomore student at Union High School, and although he was a bit lonesome at first, is fast adjusting to his new home and school. He stated that the church had baptized a hundred Lamanites just prior to his coming to Roosevelt, and that a thousand more were ready for baptism. |
