Leading off with a colorful parade, par-ade, Roosevelt played host to thousands of Basin visitors, and paid tribute to the Ute Indians in the fourth annual Indian Day celebration last week. Following the parade, Mayor George H. Harrison, of Roosevelt, extended a welcome to the throng of participants who gathered at the civic park. Oran Curry, spokesman spokes-man for the Ute tribe, responded to the mayor's opening remarks. With the first issue of the Roosevelt Standard in October, the names of two new owners, who will take possession at that time, will be printed under the banner. The citizens of Roosevelt and the Uintah Basin will find in Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Fretwell two very lively and energetic citizens. If our many patrons will extend I to them the same fine cooperation as they have to us, we are certain they will prove themselves equal to the task. Again we say thanks to all, and "30" to the newspaper fraternity. frater-nity. George H. Harrison Violet Harrison Capt. R. H.
