Show Raven Kline Reorganizes . Expansion Is Planned Colorado Mining Man Is Voted President It was learned Tuesday by joint announcement from Fred C. Fer-ron, Fer-ron, chairman of the board of Raven Mining Company of Utah, and Robert J. Pinder, Utah and Colorada mining man, of the reorganization re-organization of Raven Mining Co. of Utah, pioneer Uintah Basin business bus-iness firm. Raven Mining Company, founded in 1897 by middle western capital', located its gilsonite mining claims prior to the opening of the Indian Reservation in 1905, and has operated oper-ated them continuously to date. The company maintained its general gen-eral offices in Chicago until 1949, when they were moved to Roose- velt: , t. , , . At the annual, stockholders meeting held at the company's office in Roosevelt last Tuesday, a new board of directors was named, consisting of Fred C. Fer- ron, chairman, and Robert A. Ferron, vice-president vice-president and general manager, and Mr. Williamson, secretary. It was announced that a treasurer would be selected at a later date. F. C. Ferron, retiring president, who advances to chairman of the board, has been associated almost continuously with Raven Mining Company since receiving his mining min-ing engineering degree from the University of Utah in 1907, having hav-ing succeeded his father, original superintendent of the company. ' Mr. Pinder, incoming president, has been associated with various mining and oil interests in the western states. Mr. Williamson has represented Texas interests in the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain area. It was announced that Ralph McMullin of Roosevelt, who has been associated with the company for 25 years, will serve as mine superintendent. Robert A. Ferron has been associated as-sociated with the company since completing his education in 1943 and has been vice-president since 1949. He will continue to maintain his home in Roosevelt. The new officers reported that they would start very soon on an extensive expansion and modernization modern-ization program. It was announced that a sales office had been opened in Salt Lake City, but that the field office would remain in Roosevelt. |
