Show embers Chosen To Serve On Scout Committees Five of six members to work on the Roosevelt district advancement committee were named by Sharon Cummings, advancement chairman of the Roosevelt Boy Scout district. dis-trict. Darrell Atkinson, Merlin Kill-pack, Kill-pack, Ben Gomm, and DeVon An-drus An-drus have been selected by Mr. Cummings to help carry on the large advancement program of the Roosevelt district. In pointing out the needs for a six-man committee, Mr. Cummings mentioned some of the accomplishments accomplish-ments of the past year: (1) an increase in-crease from 7 to 24 of the Boy Scouts of the district who are First Class Scouts or above; (2) the awarding of 280 merit badges earned earn-ed by 79 boys in 54 fields of activity ac-tivity during the period of Feb. 1 to Sept. 1, 1955; (3) the completion comple-tion of a monthly district' Board of Review and monthly district Court of Honor. "With the record of the past year," Mr. Cummings continued, "we have only scratched the surface sur-face in our effort to make the advancement ad-vancement program a vital part of the life of every boy who is a Boy Scout or Explorer in the Roosevelt district.
