Show Catholic Bazaar Set For Hext F. londay, Oct. 10 'St. Helen's Catholic church will stage their annual bazaar next Monday, Oct. 10, at the American Legion Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m. According to Gordon Harmston, general chairman for the event, there will be entertainment for children and adults, including bingo bin-go and fish ponds. In addition many beautiful handmade articles of fancywork and handicraft will be for sale, as well as homemade cake and pie by the piece. The public is invited to attend the bazaar ba-zaar and shop early for Christmas. Many valuable prizes will be given away during the evening, including in-cluding a Remington 270 rifle and a Samson card table and chair set. The door prize will be a fat lamb. Altar Society members will be in charge of the food and handwork, hand-work, with Mrs. Ned Coltharp head chairman, assisted by Mrs. John Wogec for handicraft;. Mrs. Ed Yack, kitchen; and Mrs. Paul G. Stringham, fishpond, assisted by a group of 'teen-agers. Proceeds from the bazaar will go into the building fund for the new church convent. Mr. Harmston suggests you circle cir-cle the date of Oct. 10th and take the family to the bazaar for an evening of fun. |
