Show Book of Paper Matches Helps Identify Citizen HAMILTON, OHIO. A book of paper matches carrying the advertisement ad-vertisement of a service station in Covington, Ky., provided the only clue for Hamilton police in solving the identity of an amnesia am-nesia victim. Chief John A. Bippus reported a man walked into police headquarters head-quarters and asked assistance in learning his Identity. "Where am I? What's my name? I've lost my memory," the victim said. The only clue police found in i searching the man was the book of matches' bearing the name of the Graham service station, Covington, Cov-ington, Ky. Robert Welch, assistant as-sistant chief, telephoned the station sta-tion and after describing the victim learned he was John Graham Sr., 54, 1422 Madison ave., Covington, owner of the station. John Graham Jr., who came to take his father home, told police that the elder Mr. Graham had been ill. |
