Show il DEATHS Ii- ELBERT M. CHANDLER RANDLETT Funeral services were conducted today, Thursday, at 2 p. m., in the Avalon ward chapel. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, by Bishop LeRue Pickup, for Elbert Mar-chant Mar-chant Chandler, 73, who died last Sunday in a Monticello hospital, hos-pital, following a brief illness. Burial was in the Randlett cemetery. cem-etery. He was born Feb. 28 1873, in Crowley, Kan., a son of Bailey Bai-ley and Roxanna Barr Chandler. He married Mamie May Murphy in 1901 at Winfield, Kan. He came to the Uintah Basin in 1917, settling in Randlett. For the past 13 years he had been prospecting near Blanding and Hanksville. Survivors include his widow, Los Angeles; eight daughters and four sons, Mrs. Hazel Niel-son Niel-son and Orval Chandler, Alaska; Mrs. Merrial E. Stevens, Las Vegas, Nev; Mrs. Ella Moore Richmond, Cal.; William Chandler Chand-ler and Elbert Chandler, Randlett; Rand-lett; Mrs. Iva Newman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Delia Nielson Mrs. Blanch Rasmussen Mrs Grace Wardle, Mrs. Roxie War-die War-die and Clifford Chandler, all of Los Angeles; 45 grandchildren; grandchil-dren; two great-grandchildren |
