Show fjeW Bishopric I sustained At Ward Conference The Altonah ward was reorganized reor-ganized at Sacrament meeting J l-d Ward conference Sunday. -M bishopric released included jjjhop Lester Maxfield, J. Ar- -jar Timothy, Ralph Allred, " counselor, and Clenty Ames, iard clerk. Sustained were J. Arthur Tim-thy Tim-thy as bishop. Claude Murray, it counselor; Ty Kolb, 2nd ijunselor; Bennie Mitchell, ward -'erk; Mrs. Lucy Jacobson, ward "rgan'ist; Mrs. Elva Snyder, ward iorister; C. N. Shiner and Wm. :iphs, head ward teachers, and later Maxfield, chairman of the saealogical committee. Other officers sustained were ."barley Allred, president of the SM.M.I.A.; Bennie Mitchell, 1st sunselor; (a seconl counselor 3 yet to be named); Perry Max-:'eld, Max-:'eld, secretary treasurer; Mable Hatfield, president, Y.W.M.I.A., Mith Timothy, 1st counselor; Florence Mohlman, 2nd counselor; counsel-or; Ola Maxfield, secretary and leasurer. Mrs. Violet Smith was sus-ained sus-ained as president of the Relief Society; Henrietta Carroll, 1st aunselor; LaRue Fisher, 2nd sunselor; Marian Reece, Secre-lary Secre-lary treasurer; Marian Reece, Primary president; Mary Carroll 1st counselor; Nada Murray, 2nd counselor; Margaret Maxfield, secretary-treasurer. One baby was blessed, the son ot Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Jessen, who was named Douglas C Jessen. Jes-sen. Out-of-town visitors present were Stake President Wm Brotherson. of Boneta; Bernard Winkler, his counselor; Stake Clerk Wm. O. Larsen. of Bluebell; Blue-bell; Ben Gomm, of Mt. Emmons; Em-mons; E. L. Murphy, of Upalco-Mr. Upalco-Mr. and Mrs. Homer Taylor and Mrs. Florence Carter of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy Timo-thy and family, 0f Bonanza, spent the week end with relatives rela-tives here. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Taylor of Salt Lake City, spent the week end at the home of Mr and M.rs. C. N. Shiner. Mrs' Taylor and Mrs. Shiner are sisters. sis-ters. Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Shiner left Monday to spend the winter ,in Salt Lake City, j Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. Fowler Monday afternoon were Rev. and Mrs. Trow and family, of Roosevelt. Other week end guests at the Fowler I home were their daughter, Mrs Norman Hayes, and children, of Provo, and their son, Rex, who is attending TJ. of U. in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs.' Lavar Morris announced the arrivel of a baby boy, born October 1 in the Roos-velt Roos-velt hospital. Mrs. Morris is the former Bernice Hackford, of Lapoint, and Mr. Morris is serving serv-ing in the armed forces in Korea. |
