Show 5 Year Old Has Birthday Party ! JoAnn Neilson, daughter of LaSalle Neilson, was honored on her 5th birthday with a party given by her grandmother, Lizzie Liz-zie Neilson. A birthday cake, trimmed with little blue duck candle holders and 5 little yellow yel-low candles, was featured. Games were played and refreshments re-freshments served to 33 little guests. Delbert Horrocks and daughter, daugh-ter, Mary Margaret, of Bennett, was a dinner guest of Margaret Harrison Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Steel and children, of R a n g e 1 y, Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster, spent last week end in Sandy with their daughter, Mrs. John Wardle. They also visited in Provo with a son, Roy Foster. Mrs. Ruth Murray, of White-rocks White-rocks visited her mother. Mrs. Barbara Nyberg, and attended the shower given for her niece, Mrs. Emil Meyer. Mrs. Roy Huber came home Friday from the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital with her new baby. Mr. and Mrs. Sike Thompson and son, Sammy, and daughter, Diane, went to Salt Lake City last Saturday to attend funeral services for Edward Fitzgerald, of Holliday. Mr. and Mrs. Ercel Sprouse, of Hayden, and Mrs. Mae Sprouse spent the week end in Salt Lake City and Provo. They returned home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Coy Hayward, of Bountiful visited Mrs. Hay-ward's Hay-ward's mother, Mrs. Roxie Taylor, Tay-lor, last Sunday. They also visited vis-ited Mrs. Less Taylor, at Leeton. Mr. and Mrs. Maby Goad and daughter, of Midland, Texas, spent their vacation with Mrs. Goad's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Rod-ney Horrocks, and family, last week. Among those who attended Priesthood meeting in Vernal last Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison, Bishop and Mrs. L. J. Walker, Annie Warbur-ton, Warbur-ton, Erma Savage and Merrell Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Smith, of Salt Lake City, spent last week end with Mr. Smith's sister, Mrs. Floyd Angus and family. Bishop and Mrs. J. L. Walker, Walk-er, Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Rasmussen, Ras-mussen, Lila Bigelow and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Harrison. The M.I.A. program Tuesday evening was put on by the speech department, with Joan Walker conducting. The theme was given by Kay Winn. Speakers Speak-ers were Kay Winn, who told of his experiences in Italy; Loris, Wooley, who spoke of his experiences ex-periences in Germany, and Ei-roy Ei-roy Walker, who discussed his experiences in Austria. Visitors were Mrs. Martin Curtis and Mrs. Ronald Preece. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Freston and three sons, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Freston and two children, chil-dren, of Roosevelt, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sunday. |
