Show Ruby All red Wins Knit Cioth Given By Garden CBub Mrs. Ruby Allred is the lucky winner of the handknit table cloth given away by the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Community Garden club. The lucky ticket was drawn Monday, following completion of the drive and the cloth was delivered de-livered to Mrs. Allred immediately. immed-iately. The cloth was made by Mrs. J. P. Alsberg, of Fort Duchesne, and contributed to the club to raise funds for further beautifying beautify-ing of the local rose garden. Mrs. Clair Ashton, president of the organization, reported that the cloth netted the club $60.00, which will be used to purchase roses, shrubs and up keep materials for the garden. In addition to collecting the above sum, Mrs. Ashton was presented with several checks from individuals with which to purchase evergreen trees. The following clubs and individuals indi-viduals have pledged to buy the specified items for the garden gar-den next spring: Plots of roses B.P.W. club, Louis Laris family, fam-ily, the Wilkins families, Mrs. J. O. Orser and Mrs. Ruby All-red; All-red; evergreen trees for each corner, Tina Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Memmott. The club has had the assurance assur-ance of several other clubs and individuals who have expressed a desire to buy roses, also. |
