Show Directors Give Report On Polio Campaign A complete total for the Duchesne Du-chesne County March of Dimes campaign has been compiled and released by the county chairmen, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Bellon, who report that the county , total' taken in was $1,732.97, This includes communities, schools and other donations. A breakdown of the total for communities is as follows: Altamont, Alta-mont, 86.19, Mrs. Ned Mitchell., chairman; Arcadia, 60.50, Mrs. Shirley Marti; Altonah, 47.75, Mrs. Myrtle Fowler; Bridgeland, 8.98, Mrs. Elda Van Tassell; Boneta, 7.13, Mrs.. Doris Christensen;. Bluebell, Blue-bell, 61.81, Mrs. Hazel Goodrich; Duchesne, 135.54, Mrs. F. J. Humphreys; Hum-phreys; Fruitland, 20.68, Mrs. Mary Baum; Hancock Cove, 9.90, Mrs. Roberta Jones; Hanna, 26.85, Mrs. Ray Lee; Ioka, 27.66, Mrs. Edith Gentry;. Myton, 67.91, Mrs. Bill Linck; Mt. Home, 25.17,Mr. and Mrs. Grant Stevenson; Neola, 80.15, Mrs. Kate Peterson; Pleasant Pleas-ant Valley, 6.00, Mrs. Barbara Ross; Talmage, 18.42, Mrs. Earl Thacker; Roosevelt, 981.31, Mrs. Ben Turner; Utahn, 19.42, Mrs. Mildred Ande'rton; Upalco, 18.52, Mrs. Wayne Williams; Tabiona, 21.08, Mrs. Berneice Young; Mont-wel. Mont-wel. 2.00, Mrs, Beth Brown. A special gift of $25.00 was received re-ceived from the Ute Indian Tribe. Collections for polio from the various schools, included also' in the grand totad, are' as follows: Roosevelt Elementary', 64.93; Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Junior High, 14.61; Union High, 23.92; Neola Elementary, 20.00; Myton Elementary, 13.08; Altamont Elementary, 16.19; Duchesne Du-chesne Schools, 29.00; and Tabiona, Tab-iona, 9.70. The chairmen and' committee workers feel that the -1956 March of Dimes campaign has been a definite success, and wish to thank all' who helped to make it such. Special thanks goes to the Ute' Indian Tribe, the schools and all who made contributions in any way. |
