Mrs. Mae Sprouse spent the weekend with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sprouse and family of Ouray, who had visited her Thursday. Thurs-day. Mrs, Velma Perry went to Salt Lake City Tuesday rriorning to stay a while with her motheT, Sarah Rasmussen, who is ill at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Duane' Richens and daughter from Salt Lake City came in Tuesday evening and were guests of Mrs. Richens' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Churck Taylor, and family. Mr. Richerls returned to his home and Mrs. Richens will spend a few days .with -her parents. par-ents. The Lapoint teachers gave a children's dance in the chapel, for the children and had refreshments at the school after their dance. Butch McAdams was called home to Lander, Wyo," due to the illness of his baby on Wednesday. Joyce Labrum is home' from the LDS Hospital of Roosevelt, where she has been ill with the flu. Mrs. Fern Anderson and Ora Swain have been ill. during the week. Mrs. ! Sarah Norton became ill Monday and was taken to Roosevelt Roose-velt by her son, Joe, for medical attention. She stayed at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wilma Haslem of Alterra for a few days, but has returned home, feeling better. Merl Jenkins and Mable Jenkins were in Vernal Friday on business. ATTEND MEETING Those' that attended the Primary preparation meeting Thursday evening eve-ning were Mrs. Mammie Rasmussen, Rasmus-sen, Mae Warburton, Donna Har-tle, Har-tle, Kathryn Walker, Ardith Huber, Mable Jenkins, Elizabeth Harrison Lucille (Bigelow, June Woolley,' Jean Nyberg and Jeremiah Harrison. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Kump Murray is at the home of Mrs. Lillian Wash recovering from a Long, illness, after being at the St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake' for 'some time. Mrs. Sarah BuBoise of Vancouver, Van-couver, Wash, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Joberg of Alberta, Canada were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hy-rum Hy-rum Burgess during the week. Mable and Sarah are' Mr, Burgess' sisters. They had a family party Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Clive Sprouse and daughter, Judy, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Sprouse and daughter from Roosevelt, spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn and Mrs. Mae' Sprouse. Dr. arid Mrs, Mathew Mansfield and son of Salt Lake City spent" the weekend with Mrs. Mansfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Winn and family. ' BIRTHDAY PARTIES A birthday party was given in honor of Max Hartle by Mrs. Donna Don-na Hartle, Friday evening. Games were played. A plate lunch was served to 25 guests. A birthday dinner was given Sunday in honor of David Jenkins, Jen-kins, whose birthday came Feb. 2; Mrs. Reva Workman, on Feb, 7, and Eugene Workman, Feb. 26, at the home of Mr. and' Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr. Home made ice cream and cake were served after the dinner. High Councilman Jeremiah Harrison Har-rison visited the LDS church in Artesia, Colo, last Sunday. Hewas accompanied by his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich visited Mr, and Mrs. Bob Rich and family in Rangely, Colo. Friday. PRESENT PROGRAM . The Relief Society ladies gave the program Sunday evening. The Singing Mothers sang "How Wonderful Won-derful and Great." Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gagon and children from Salt Lake City spent from Thursday to Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mowrey. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mowrey and Mrs, Genevieve Mowrey visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mowrey Sunday.
