A Benefit Basketball program will be held at Altamont High's gym, Thursday evening starting with a girls' game between Fort Duchesne and Altamont, at 5:30, followed by a game' between the Randlett Knights and Altamont No. 2. The main game will start at 8 o'clock between the Ft. Duchesne Huskies and Altamont. The proceeds of this evening will be used to send the Ft. Duchesne Huskies to Klamath Falls, Oregon to play in the Western All-Indian tournament to . which they have been invited. An auction will be held at the half time on a variety of goods and merchandise. Please come out and help support this cause. Charles Carter, special police officer of-ficer for the Uintah and Ouray Agency,- is in a Salt Lake hospital. Mr. Carter underwent surgery last week. His many friends wish him a speedy recovery. ' PARTY HONORS CURRYS A farewell party was held at the American Legion building for Mr. and Mrs, Richard Curry, on Tuesday evening by the Fort Duchesne Du-chesne Legion Post and Auxiliary. The Currys left for Los Angeles Wednesday morning, , where Mr, Curry will attend school. Connie Mac Denver is in the Roosevelt Hospital. He suffered a heart attack early this week. His doctor reports he is improving. NEW GIRLS' CLUB A second girls' club was started' Tuesday evening for 15 girls at Fort Duchesne. The girls elected Fern Caudell as president, Wilma Wellington as secretary, Leah La-Rose, La-Rose, Nola Zufelt and Orana Baumgarner as chairmen for programs, pro-grams, parties and refreshments. The evening was spent learning the rules and regulations of girls' basketball. Mrs, Norma Denver will be club' leader. The Ft. Duchesne Women's Club met Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. A business meeting was held and the remainder of the evening was spent watching films on our community. com-munity. Hostesses were Mrs. Coleman Cole-man and Mrs. Church of Myton. BOXERS GO TO IDAHO The Fort Duchesne Boxing Club left Sunday morning for Twin Falls, Idaho. Eight boys will box there Monday night.
