Show Sam Hemingway Gets Tabiona Principal Position The position of principal of the ! Tabiona High and Elementary schools for the school year 1956-57 will be filled by Samuel R. Hem-mingway Hem-mingway who has signed a contract con-tract with the Duchesne Co. Board of education. This announcement, was made by Rowan C. Stutz this week. Mr- Hemmingway is a graduate of the University of Utah. He was graduated in 1948 with a bachelor of science degree in sociology and a secondary certificate. cer-tificate. His minor was in phy-chology. phy-chology. He obtained a master of science degree from the University Univer-sity of Utah in 1955, which is in educational administration with a minor in elementary education. This summer he has been taking some courses from the Brigham Young University. His teaching experience includes in-cludes four years at Alterra, Uintah County, as an eighth grade instructor and a year at Georgetown, George-town, Idaho and Manila, Daggett County, Utah. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints, and has been a resident of Roosevelt the past four years. Mr- Hemmingway was a liason pilot in Word War II and now holds a commercial pilot license with an instructor rating. He has logged about 1,000 hours in light airplanes. |
