Show 4-11 Club Members Gain Awards At Area Meeting Awards to fifteen 4-H Club members were presented at the annual 4-H Achievement program held Monday night at the Duchesne Du-chesne stake chapeL Mrs. Mildred Smith of Duchesne and Miss Na-dean Na-dean Roberts of Tabiona were in charge of the. program which honored hon-ored 4-H Club boys and girls from Hanna, Tabiona, Arcadia, Bridgeland and Duchesne. Awards were presented by Mary Lois Reichert and Robert S. Murdock, extension service" representatives for Duchesne County. Nine girls received four-year project pins. Seven of these award winners were from the Duchesne Oven-Poppers Club, Mrs. Smith, leader. They are: Maryetta Moon, Karen Moon, Sharon Partridge, Shirlee Burdick, Marlene Davies, Alma Poulson, Carma Smith. Two other 4-year project pins were presented to Carolyne Burdick and 'Barbara Cowan, members of the "Lucky Clever' clothing club, Jean Wimmer, leader. Food preparation pins were awarded to Carma Smith, Maryetta Mary-etta Moon and Alma Poulson, alt Oven-Popper Club members. Miss Smith and Miss Poulson also re-, re-, ceived pins for outstanding achievement achieve-ment in cannery, as well as a $5 j savings account and a savings bank from the Commercial Bank of Utah for their having won the team demonstration on a "Party Drinks" subject at the Duchesne County Fair. Cash awards or premium checks from the county fair were presented present-ed to both boys and girls at the achievement program. |
