Show LeetooBemiieti Fern Houston SHOOTS BOBCAT One day last week George Jenkins Jen-kins shot and killed a wild cat on the Neola-whiterocks road. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Haslem are moving to the Kirkendall place to make their home. The Elders from Ballard, Bennett Ben-nett and Whiterocks gave a dinner din-ner for 50 members at the Bennett Ben-nett Ward house. They served a chili con came dinner, and everyone every-one enjoyed a nice program. They are to have an entertainment about every three months. Stake Primary officers, Mr. Beardahl and Mrs. Watkins, were Primary visitors Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harrison of Neola visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Bolton last Monday night. Saturday visitors in Vernal were Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem. Otis Horrocks visited in the Roosevelt Ward meetings in he interest of the High Priests. He was a speaker at Sacrament meeting. meet-ing. Clair Haslem is suffering from a sprained back and is confined to his home. . Delmar Gardner and daughter, Marion, visited the Winfred Long home. Marion is home from a short visit from Denver where she is attending the Denver Business Busi-ness College. Recently Anna Murray and La Rue Nixon were visitors at the Relief Re-lief Society meeting. They are both stake officers. Kenneth, Bob and Norman Long went to Tabby Mountain for the deer hunt. They left Friday. Mrs. Glenda Hall of Salt Lake City visited at the Carl Hall home Friday. Gary Hall is employed at Salt Lake City, but took time off for a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hall. They went to Blue Mountain to hunt deer. Thomas Anderson of Los Angeles, Ang-eles, Marvin Hortshorn of Chino. Calif., and George Nixon, also of Chino, are here with George and Ray Houston to hunt. They are guests at the home of J. A. Houston. Hous-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bolton and Charles Bolton attended the Stake Gleaners party at Roosevelt last Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd O'Daniel of Placentia are visiting for a couple of weeks at the home of J. H. Houston. Mrs. O'Daniel is a sister of Mr. Houston. While here a hunting party went to Blue Mountain. Moun-tain. They were Jack, Ray and George Houston, Miles and Ray Dillman, Thomas Anderson and two of his friends from California. They had a wonderful trip. All are happy to have James Bacon again as a visitor for 3 months, representing the Stake as advisor in the Ward. Billie Haslem was home over the weekend. He is attending the University of Utah. |
