Show Half Pints Tip Myton 11-10 .Roosevelt's Half-Pints and a gang of little leaguers from Myton put on a ding-dong ball game here last Saturday with the outcome of the game being pretty much of a question until Dean McArthur slammed a home-run for Roosevelt to ice the game in the seventh. Paul Solmonson, Myton's. 13-year-old pitcher was easily the big star of the show as he pitched 1 outstanding ball all the way, and slammed two home-runs and a triple. Winn, another fine little player for Myton, had two hits for the visitors. Batting honors for Roosevelt went to Max Isaacson, who hit safely three times, and Ronnie Phillips, who hit a pair. Doyle Wil-kins Wil-kins had a triple and Terry Hux-ford, Hux-ford, winning pitcher, came through with a double. The rival teams are managed by Russel Gingelt for Myton and Gordon Eldredge of Roosevelt. These two, and the leaders of the kids from Fort Duchesne, are to be commended for keeping the interest in-terest alive in this area with what might develop into a real little league set-up. |
