Show Gusher j . Cleo Pappas FAREWELL PARTY A farewell party was given in honor of Janet and Janice Shaw by the young people of the Baptist Bap-tist church, Tuesday evening at the Domgaard home. The Shaw twins are leaving this week for Bishop, Calif, to spend the winter with their grandmother. Agnes Denver, of Alterra, will accompany accom-pany them on the trip. NEW ASSIGNMENT The people of this community and friends from all Uintah Basin will be very interested to know that Harold A. Dillman has accepted ac-cepted a pastorite at Twin Falls, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Eliss took a short trip to Salt Lake City, Wednesday Wed-nesday and returned the same day. Mr. and Mrs.. Charley Baggett came out from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with the Eliss family. fam-ily. Mrs. Lee Eliss is their daughter. daugh-ter. Mr. and Mrs. James Daskalas and family spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Nick Pappas. They left Sunday afternoon for their home in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Dahlberg and Mr. and Mrs. Loma Dahlberg are visiting their mother, Mrs. Vonnie Dahlberg and grandmother, grandmoth-er, Mrs. King. Mrs. Inez Hackford and daughter daugh-ter took a short trip to Salt Lake Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Miller, newlyweds, came to see Mr. .and Mrs. Semkens, their grandparents. Mrs. Miller is the former Mis Geraldine Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Miller are going to make their home in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Blanch McCarrell is on a trip to Nevada and Yellowstone National Park. Leonard Goodrich and Kelly Redmond of the Soil Conservation Service, have been mapping a reservoir site on the J. R. Ma-honey Ma-honey ranch east of Gusher. Boyd Roper left for Salt Lake last week to join his father. Bud Markey went on a fishing fish-ing trip last week. Claude Nebe-ker Nebe-ker ran the store while Bud was away. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Perry from Long Beach, Calif., was in our vicinity visiting recently. Mrs. Perry will be remembered as Nettie Net-tie McCarrell. Visiting' at the Guy Underwood home this week are Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Aulger and daughter, Martha, Mar-tha, from Grandview, Missouri. Dr. and Mrs. O. Thurman from St. Anthony, Idaho, stopped over to visit with Mrs. Elsie Domgaard Sunday, on their way to Denver. Mrs. Helen Macfarland, from Salt Lake City, was renewing acquaintances ac-quaintances and visiting friends in Gusher over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. K. B. Covington and children, from Cut Bank, Montana, are visiting this week at the Domgaard home. |
