Show THE HONEY BEES ROOSEVELT We went on our encampment July 27. Jean El-dredge El-dredge was our leader. A good time was had by all, with lots of watermelons and good food. We stayed for three nights, sleeping in tents. We all took turns with cooking and dish-washing and ' enjoyed en-joyed games during the day. The Honey Bees took part on the program the night of the 28th. We all enjoyed the trip and thank our leaders for a good time and hope to maybe go again next year. Rosemary Smith, Reporter h-h-h-h SNAPPY SNIPPERS MYTON The Snappy Snippers Snip-pers 4-H Club meeting was held Monday, Aug. 1st, at 1:30 p.m. The meeting took place at the Chandler home. Sherril Richens led us in the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," afterwhich prayer was offered by LaRee Bywater. Minutes were read and approved. The time was then turned over for sewing on projects. Carol Ann Nielsen moved mov-ed that we adjourn. Watermelons were served. Mary Ellen Giles, Reporter h-h-h-h THE MERRY MISSES The Merry Misses 4-H Club at their last three meetings, made the following things: desserts, sandwiches, main dishes, canned cherries. On our fourth meeting, we made about 400 paper bags out of newspaper to pin on his-pital his-pital beds and gave them to the Roosevelt Hospital. That was our service project. After that we made plans for the encampment. All members and our leader, Mrs. Hacking, were present at camp and participated. Margaret Hacking, Reporter h-h-h-h BUSY STITCHERS BLUEBELL Another Club meeting was held July 21, at the home of our teacher, Carma Mathews. Math-ews. Prayer was offered by LaRee Larsen. Meeting was called to order or-der by Jean Seeley and minutes were read by Dian Thomas. We planned to go swimming next time. We worked on our pajamas, blouses, peddlepusxiers and skirts. Assignments were made to Dian Thomas and meeting was adjourned ad-journed at 3 o'clock. LaRee Larsen, Reporter |
