Show WIIITEROCKS Madeena Smith Eight Awards Are Given MIA Girls Eight MIA individual awards were presented to the following girls in meeting on Sunday: Ina Rae and Doris Ellingford, Lama and Betty OberhansJy, Eil'ene Robb, Terrell Smith, Barbara Moosman and Mrs. Mildred Moos-man. Moos-man. Mrs. Erma Sessions, of Vernal', was here on Sunday and took her mother, Mrs. Matilda Moosman,' back for a week's visit. Mrs. Moosman will receive a medical checkup while there. The Stanley Hoops family visited vis-ited in Salt Lake and different points in Wyoming this last week. Mrs. Verna Hoops and children visited at the Don Simmons home on Sunday. Blaine Morrill is sporting a new Chevrolet pickup, which he purchased pur-chased in Salt Lake last week. The William Work,- Elbert Smith, Ednal Simmons and Virgil and Paul' Robb families attended the Ronald Robb wedding in Roosevelt on July 28th. Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman are the proud parents of a baby boy, born July 22 at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital. Mrs. Eastman and new son returned home on Tuesday. Tues-day. Relief Society work meeting was held on Tuesday. The ladies cut and sewed rug rags. Con Wilkerson and Leonard Twitchell took a group of fishermen fisher-men back on Mosby Mountain for a week's fishing. A new policeman for this dis-trigt dis-trigt moved into the Howard Montes house this week. Mr. and Mrs. William McGuffie of Las Vegas, Nevada, were overnight over-night visitors at the Elbert Smith home, Tuesday. They also visited Mrs. William Harvey of Tridell while here. The school employees, of Vernal, Ver-nal, have been painting the halls in the school house and doing other repair work about the school this week. Miss Lama Oberhansly, of Whiterocks, and Sheron Keel of Neola, played an accordion duet on the talent show at the UBIC in Roosevelt on Wednesday. The ward MIA went to the Dye Swimming Pool for a swim Monday Mon-day night. A picnic lunch was enjoyed en-joyed by all after the swim. The J. O. and Bill Hoops families fam-ilies went to Salt Lake to visit the Petro Forakis family and attend at-tend the Twitchell family reunion which was held Sunday at Liberty Park. Mr. and Mrs! Eldon Anderton and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Crozier left Saturday for a trip to the Redwoods and other points along the west coast. They will also visit Mrs..
