Show 4 Charley Timothy Leaves For World Jamboree Charles Timothy, Explorer of Post 2750 sponsored by the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Third ward; and Lee Caldwell, Cald-well, Explorer of Past 2233, sponsored spon-sored by the Vernal First ward, reported yesterday, August 10, in Salt. Lake City, where they will leave for the World Jamboree, to be at Niagra-on-the-lake, Canada. Both Explorers are Silver Explorers, Ex-plorers, which is the highest award that can be earned in the, Explorer program. Charles and Lee will join seven other Explorers of the Utah National Na-tional Parks Council to complete the number of places allotted the Council. Total delegation from the United States of American to the World Jamboree will be 1512 Scouts and leaders. Explorers from nearly every free country of the world will gather in Canada Aug. 18 to 28 for the eighth World Jamboree. This is the first ever held in North America. Two days will be spent by the 165 Explorers of Region 12 touring tour-ing Washington, D. C, when the group arrives there Aug. 15. These two days will include a bus trip to Mt. Vernon, returning by boat; the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Capitol, the White House, the FBI building, the U. S. Mint, the Congressional Library, the Supreme Court building, and the Smithsonean Museaum. If there is a major league baseball game Monday evening, that will be included. On the return trip, about Aug. 29, the boys will tour Chicago Chi-cago before returning west: Region 12's boys will be organized or-ganized into five troops and sub-organized sub-organized into patrols, which will be under the leadership of the Explorers Ex-plorers themselves.
