Show X Lawrence Wilson Honored In E. German Mission Word has been received in Roosevelt that Elder Lawrence D. (Larry) Wilson, son of Seth Wilson, Wil-son, was recently called into the East Garman Mission presidency as second counselor to President Herold L. Gregory. He replaces Elder Royal R. Meservy of Star Valley, Wyo., who has been released re-leased and has returned home. Elder Wilson is representing the Roosevelt ward, and attended the Brigham Young University for 3 years as a major student in music. He is a graduate of the Roosevelt High School. He arrived in the mission field October, 1953, and in January, 1954 was appointed president of the Friedrichstadt Branch, serving in the position for 10 months. In October, 1954 he was trans- ferred to Berlin, where he labored as superintendent of the mission Sunday Schools, which position he held at the time of his call to the mission presidency. The East German mission presidency pres-idency now consists of President Gregory, Henry Burkhardt, first counselor, and Elder Wilson, second sec-ond counselor, with J. Bruce Har-l'ess Har-l'ess as mission secretary. |
