C. speech contest held Tuesday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Roosevelt High School, which brought honors to Don Evans, Altamont, and Tommy Rowley, Roosevelt. Other contestants were. Ronald Zirker and Foy Swain, Roosevelt. Evans and Rowley, winners from Duchesne county, will compete com-pete with the two winners from Uintah county at the U. B. I. C, and the two finalists will be a-warded a-warded scholarships of $50 and $25 respectively, to any college of their choice. Mrs. Gerri Shield's was highly honored Sunday evening, when she received the Golden Gleaner award and pin at the sacrament service of the Roosevelt LDS Second ward.
