Show This Weeks RECIPE . . . A very popular salad and one that can be made 48 hours ahead of time is the MarshmaJJow-Pine-apple Salad, recipe for which was submitted by Mrs. Ben Turner. Marshmallow-Pineapple Salad (Serves 16) 3 egg yolks 3 tbs. sugar 5 tbs. vinegar Cook above ingredients until thick, stirring constantly. Cool. Add 1 pint cream, whipped 1 cup grated cheese (nippy or mild) 1 lb. marshmallows, cut 1 large can pineapple chunks, or rings cut in pieces Blend well and place in covered container in refrigerator. Let stand at least 24 hours. (48 hours is better). |
