Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Priesthood Gives Awards Sunday The following boys received the award and certfiicate, "Duty To God," in Sacrament meeting on Sunday evening: Drew Goodrich, Jay Goodrich and Garth Remington. Reming-ton. The requirements for one of these awards are: attendance and filling of priesthood assignments assign-ments and quorum meetings, observance ob-servance of Word of Wisdom, payment pay-ment of tithing, participation and assignments in Sunday School, MIA, and to be a 1st Class Scout. This is a beautiful pin and one any boy can be proud of. Each of the boys gave a few remarks in meeting. Other speakers were Brent Hancock, a Seminary student;. stu-dent;. Gene Soderquist, Parley Mitchell of Upalco, and Mrs. Lois Goodrich. Mrs. Fred Mathews and new baby son, born May 8 at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt Hospital, came home on Sunday to stay a while with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich. Good-rich. This makes two boys and a girl for the Mathews. Mr. and Mrs. La Von Atwood received word of the birth of a son to Mr. and' Mrs. Merlin Fenn on May 8th at the Roosevelt Hospital. Hos-pital. The Fenns also have another son. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews went to Riverton on Tuesday to attend funeral services for a brother-in-law, John Moon. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Goodrich Good-rich and Mrs. Virginia Kimball and three children accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston and Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Birchell and family of Roosevelt, up Uinta Canyon Can-yon on Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest WinkleT and family of Vernal spent Saturday Satur-day here visiting with Ernest's mother, Mrs. M. Verona Winkler, and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richman and two children of Provo spent Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday visiting relatives rela-tives here and in Roosevelt. The small son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Monson was blessed and given giv-en the name of Mark C. Monson, on Fast Sunday in Sacrament meeting last week by the baby's uncle, Pres. Bernard Winkler-. Buddy Bird of Salt Lake City visited on Monday here with relatives. rel-atives. Mother's Day family members visiting at the John Goodrich home were Lloyd and Gladys and two children and Clyde, of Bonanza; Bon-anza; Ardis and Ralph and two children, of Wyoming; Kenneth and Faye and two children, Carma and Fred and three children and Carolyn and Loren of Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Max AUred ' and baby son of Salt Lake spent the weekend here with Mr. and Mrs. Claud Allred and Mr. and Mrs. La Von Atwood. BYU students home over the weekend were JoAnn Goodrich, Dal Seeley, Kent Remington, Marilyn Mari-lyn Jennings, Pauline Winkler and a roommate of Pauline's, Doris Hiedi. Family members visiting at the Fred Goodrich home on Sunday were, Evan, Norman and Betty of Roosevelt; Howard, of Price; Rulon and Thelma and two children chil-dren of Bonanza; Leonard and Hazel and family of Bluebell;, and Boyd of Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Bus Mathews and two children and Slad'e Mathews, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Goodrich and Ronnie Goodrich, all of Bonanza, Bon-anza, spent the weekend here with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee of Salt Lake City and daughter, Bil-lie, Bil-lie, visited here during the week with relatives. Billie is in the Air Force and has just finished eight weeks ' of basic training at Texas. From there she doesn't know where she will go. Maxine Todd and' two boys Lucille Lu-cille Winkler and Shana Lee visited vis-ited at Ballard on Saturday. ' The following Seminary students went on a trip to Manti on Tuesday, Tues-day, where they were baptized in the Temple for the dead: Elaine Jenkins, Joy Goodrich, Drew Goodrich, LaRae Monson, Brent Hancock, Bob Goodrich, Garth Remington.
