Show Church Program Honors Mothers Special Mother's Day services were conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian church under the direction of Rev. Wayne Shontz, director of Christian Education Edu-cation at the University of Utah. Special music included' a vocal duet by Joyce and Donna Lund-gren, Lund-gren, accompanied by their mother. moth-er. Baptismal services were given for Sharon Lee and Nita Darlene, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Williams of Ft. Duchesne. Carnations were presented to all mothers present. Many out-of-town members heard the excellent sermon, enjoyed the musical numbers num-bers and participated in the service ser-vice honoring Mother's Day. Mrs. N. L. Peterson, who has been confined to the Roosevelt Hospital was sufficiently improved to be returned home, Wednesday, and will convalesce here under the care of her family. Mrs. Frank Monks visited here last week. She was enroute from Colorado to Salt Lake City for a short visit with her son, James O. Dean, who came from California Califor-nia to gather with other members of the family. Mrs. Monks was accompanied by Mrs. Don Burris, Jr. and baby, who spent a few days with her grandmother, Mrs. Alta Hadden and also visited Mr. Burris' parents. Mrs. Monks and Mrs. Hadden returned to the Monks' ranch near Hayden, Colo, later in the week. Mr. and Mrs. Harold' Rider arrived ar-rived last week from Selma, Va. to visit Mrs. Rider's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mathisen. Mrs. Rider is the former Many Ann Mathisen. |
