Show Senior Girls Of Union High School Feted At B.P. W. Tea A beautifully appointed tea at the R. S. Jordan residence complimented com-plimented the senior girls of Union Un-ion High School Monday evening, when approximately a hundred guests called between the hours of 7:30 and 10:00 p.m. Co-chairmen for the annual event which is sponsored by the Roosevelt Business and Professional Profession-al Women's Club, were Mrs. Jor-. dan and Mrs. Paul Murphy. In the receiving line were retiring re-tiring officers and the hostess, Mrs. Jordan. A lovely cut-work cloth covered the tea table, which was centered with an elegant arrangement of pink roses, snap dragons and white shasta daisies. Pale pink lighted tapers in crystal candle-abra candle-abra lent a finishing accent. A profusion of other floral bouquets in the house further carried out the color scheme. Presiding at the tea table at alternate hours were Mrs.. C. L. Ashton, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mrs. J. O. Harmston, Mrs. J. O. Orser and Mrs. Evans Phillips. In charge of the dining room were Mrs. Harvey Riggle, Mrs. Loman F. Hutchings and Mrs. Parley Rawlings. Musical background for the tea was provided by the Misses Pam Harmston, Linda Schmiett, Laura Ann Leavitt, Ann Murphy and Geraldine Denver, who played piano selections. Vocal solos were sung by Mrs. Lyle Hintze, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Sheldon Fitzgerald; Mrs. Vola Hancock, accompanied by Mrs. Norman Murphy; Mrs. Fitzgerald, playing her own accompaniment; ac-companiment; and violin selections by Mrs Ray Summers, accompan ied by Mrs. Fitzgerald. |
