Show Notice Of Oil & Gas Mining Lease Sale UNDER SEALED BID, 2:00 P. M., OCTOBER 28, 1952 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Fort Duchesne, Utah, until 2:00 P. M., October 28, 1952, for Oil and Gas, mining leases on the following described tribally owned Indian lands, located on the Uintah and Ourav Indian Reservation, in Uintah County, State of Utah, all of which lands as hereafter described are within the Uintah Special Spe-cial Base and Meridian Survey, and contain 4,808.37 acres more or less, to-wit: Township 1 North, Range 2 East Unit Description Sec. The successful and responsible bidders for any lease will be required to pay in advance an annual rental ot $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising, ad-vertising, and a filing fee of $5.00 for each lease contract consummated. In addition to the filing fee ' of $5.00 for each lease, an additional fee of 15 cents per acre will be charged as a processing cost of making the lease and clerical cleri-cal service attendant thereto. Successful bidders will be required re-quired to deposit such fees in proportion to the acreages obtained ob-tained on their bids and before leases are drawn. A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 pet cent of the advance rental for the .fkst year musi accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent sol-vent bank, payable to the Treasurer Treas-urer of the United States. Conditional or alternate bids will not be accepted and no drilling propositions will be considered as a part of the bonus bo-nus offer. The sale will be conducted under regulations promulgated by the Secretary of the Interior, Inter-ior, 25 CFR 186, Act of May 11. 1938. (52 Stat. 347. 25 U.S.C. 396 a-j). Lease Form 5-157 will be used. ' Bids received will be referred to the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee for their recommendation as to acceptance accep-tance or rejection before such bids are referred to the Commissioner Com-missioner of Indian Affairs for final action. The right is reserved re-served by the Commissioner to reject any or all bids and to disapprove any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after a deposit :is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposit-esl deposit-esl shall be returned. Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of the sale and regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture in the discretion of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Af-fairs. Leases filed after 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, and sales may be cancelled and deposits de-posits forfeited unless for good and sufficient reason an extension ex-tension of the filing period is granted. The Superintendent reserves the right, as a condition precedent to the granting of an extended period of time, to require re-quire the deposit of, any remaining remain-ing sums due and owing on the lease, including the balance of I the bonus bid and the first year's rental. I The lessee must furnish a satisfactory surety bond, as required re-quired by the regulations.
