Show Oil News The Scouting Division of Carter Car-ter Oil Company, Northwest Division, Di-vision, has issued the following ' summary of drilling wells for I the week ending Sept. 29. 1952: j G. E. Houston No. 1 (located in SE SW, Sec. 18-1S-1E): Total1 depth 10,142 feet, plugged back to 9760 feet. Ran 2V2-inch tubing tub-ing at 9681 feet. Swabbed 2.5 barrels fluid per hour for 56 hours (50 per cent water, 20 per cent emulsion, and 30 per cent oil). Swabbing 2.5 barrels fluid per hour from 9679 feet with 500 feet of fluid in hole. H. A. Peterson No. 1 (located in Roosevelt Pool in SW SW, Sec. 10-1S-1W) Total depth 10,-276 10,-276 feet. Pumped 210 barrels oil in 22 hours, cut 3 per cent water. wa-ter. Pumped 233 barrels of oil in 24 hours, cut .2 per cent water. wa-ter. Pumped 89 barrels of oil in 17 hours, cut .3 per cent water. Pumped 145 barrels of oil in 18 hours, cut .3 per cent water. Pumped 161 barrels of oil in 23 hours, cut .3 per cent water. Pumped 133 barrels of oil in 17 hours, .3 per cent water. Crews are pumping. Joseph Smith No. 1 (Flat Mesa Wildcat well located in center of SE SE, Sec. 16-3S-5W) Drill-stem test No. 17 at 7881-7994 7881-7994 feet, open two hours, had a weak blow throughout test with gas to the surface in I hour 35 minutes, burner with 1-foot flame. A arill-stem test througn tne perforations had gas in 29 minutes, mud in 30 minutes, min-utes, flowing by heads in 3 hours 10 minutes. Flowed oil, mud and water by heads for 18 hours, 3 uarreis per hour, maximum 75 per cent mud and water. Following 6 hours flow was established at 5 barrels oil, mud and water per hour, cui 9-34 per cent water and .1 per cent mud. Flowed 62.4 barrels fluid in 12 hours, 25 per ceni water, .2 per cent mud. swabbsd 45 barrels fluid, 50 pe- cent water, .5 to 10 per cent mud in 12 hours. Flowed 60 barrets fluid in 15 hours 50 per cent water, .5 per cent mud. Swabbed Swab-bed 31 barrels fluid in 5V2 hours. Total to date, 204 barrels bar-rels oil, 127 barrels water and 23 barrels mud. Testing. Orlan L. Johnson No. 1 Drill-stem test 'No.- 3 between 6510-68 feet, open 105 minutes, had gas to surface in 12 minutes, min-utes, burned with 10-foot flame on 3 inch line. Recovered 80 feet of heavily gas-cut mud. 176 feet water and gas-cut mud, 112 feet water slightly cut with oil and gas. Drill-stem test No. 4. between 4820-72 feet, open two hours, recovered 15 feet of oil, 100 feet of oil-cut mud. Crews coring at 4888 feet. |
