Show national newspaper Vleek Es Thenia Of Eiiwanis Meeting; BYU Professor Es Quest Speaker Kiwanians and Kiwani-Anns joined together Wednesday night in a dinner meeting at Frontier Grill in observance-of National Newspaper Week. Guest speaker speak-er for the occasion was Professor Pro-fessor Oliver Smith, of Prove, head of the journalism department depart-ment at Brigham Young University. Univer-sity. He was introduced by Cliff Memmott, chairman of the meeting. meet-ing. President Floyd Peterson presided pre-sided at the meeting, introducing introduc-ing the special guests. J. D. Walker, chairman of the nominating nom-inating committee, submitted a list of nominees for officers of the club for the next year. Mr. and Mrs. David Watkins were in attendance to conduct some lively community singing. I Table decorations were suggestive sug-gestive of an autumn color theme, with bronze and white chrysanthemums centering the i tables, which were bedecked with autumn leaves and yellow tapers. Mrs. Carl Harrison and Mrs. Howard Harmston arranged the attractive tables and made the clever autumn leaf favors. Other guests included Mrs. Smith, Perry Coddington' president presi-dent of the Price Club. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Yergensen, of My-ton, My-ton, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed F. Holmes, of Washington. |
