Show LOCAL RESIDENTS ENJOY EASTERN TRIP Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark have arrived home after enjoying a pleasant pleas-ant vacation trip, visiting Eastern cities. They left Pleasant Grove by bus on May 19th for Chicago, where they visited for three days with Mrs. Clark's brother, Mr. W. E. Shipley and family. From there they went to Detroit, Mich., and purchased a new car. Then a day's drive over beautiful Canadian highways high-ways brought them to Niagara Falls, where a day was spent in sight seeing. see-ing. From Niagara Falls they motored to Palmyra, New York, and visited the Joseph Smith farm, Hill Cum-orah Cum-orah and the Sacred Grove and other old Mormon landmarks. From this point they motored to New York City, where they spent three days seeing the sights and visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ward Clark. After leaving New York they visited vis-ited Philadelphia. Baltimore, and Washington. They were able to attend at-tend an L. D. S. conference in the University "ward while in Chicago and had the privilege of attending L. D. S. services in the beautiful chapel at Washington, D. C. They motored across the country en route home from Washington and report a very splendid trip. n ! |
