Show Strawberry Day Queen Visits State Capitol Little Miss Patrica Anderson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. G. Y. Anderson, An-derson, was the center of attraction attrac-tion Tuesday when a group of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove S'trawberry dav boosters visited Governor Henry Blood's office of-fice in the State Carjitol building and gave him a personal invitation to attend our Strawberry-day celebration, cele-bration, June 11. The governor promised to witness the parade in the forenoon. After the visit at the capital the party were guests of Mr. Morton, owner and manager of the Holsum Bread company, and Mr. and Mrs. Swartz. Mr. Swartz handled the K S L program at 9 a. m. A very pleasing feature of the day's trip was a banquet at the Hotel Ho-tel Utah as guests of the Holsum Baking company. The party included Dr. and Mrs. Anderson and Miss Patrica, queen of Strawberry day; Mr. and Mrs. William Partington and daughter, Janice, Miss Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bunnel and daughter, Cleo, Miss Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Sadie Chandler, Mrs. Audrey Swenson, and Lee Peterson, president of the Chamber of Commerce and his wife, Miss Helen Nelson, Miss Helen Gardiner, Miss Anna Fugal and Mr. E. A. Beck. |
